The new year is always a good time to bring on new habits...especially when it comes to a solid skincare routine. Your clients may already be doing some of these, but talk to them about working these tips in on a consistent basis, and they will be sure to have a skincare routine that will bring on a smooth, glowing complexion.
No sleep until that makeup is off
We can’t stress this enough...never, ever go to bed with your makeup on. Even if you are too worn out to do your full skincare routine at night, at least remove your makeup. Repeatedly sleeping in makeup can cause eye irritation, block sensitive pores, and can even cause your eyelashes to break or fall out.
Yes to water, no to sweets
Natural beauty starts from the inside out, so focus on drinking that water! Sugary drinks and foods can cause unnecessary breakouts. Instead find ways to feed your skin all the best nutrients with fresh fruits, water and other healthy choices.
Exfoliate 2x a week
Want smooth, brighter skin? Exfoliating will help remove dead skin cells and help keep your pores from clogging. Try a product with tea tree oil that helps fight bacteria, along with all natural ingredients such as vitamin E and chamomile to help hydrate and calm. Don’t forget to moisturize after!
Don’t forget the facial
As skincare professionals, you know the benefits of getting regular facials. Scheduling them once a month for deep cleanse and toning treatments can make a big difference. Extractions, steam, massage and mask application all help to fight aging, and in the long run will lead to restored, healthy skin.
